Support the Maidstone River Festival 2026
Support the Maidstone River Festival
Keep it free. Keep it local. Keep it alive.
Every summer, the Maidstone River Festival brings the town together. The riverbanks fill with people. The Raft Race draws crowds. Live music carries through the town. The night ends with a fireworks display that people remember.
It is one of Maidstone’s biggest events. It is also completely free to attend.
What makes it different is how it runs.
The festival is organised entirely by volunteers. There is no ticket income. No commercial backing that covers the full cost. It exists because people choose to support it.
That support is now critical.
Why your support matters
Costs continue to rise. Delivering a safe, high-quality event requires proper funding.
Your donation helps pay for staging, sound, and live music. It supports safety and security across the site. It funds professional medical cover. It covers lighting, infrastructure, and the fireworks display. It also supports essential operational costs behind the scenes.
Every pound goes directly into making the festival happen.
A festival for everyone
Many events are now ticketed or scaled back. The Maidstone River Festival remains open to all.
Families, friends, and visitors can enjoy a full day of entertainment without cost being a barrier.
That only works if the community supports it.
If you have enjoyed it, this is your moment
If you have stood by the river and watched the fireworks, you have been part of it.
If you have cheered during the Raft Race, you have felt it.
If you have spent time with friends and family at the festival, you already know its value.
Now is the time to give something back.
