MVS to Support Maidstone River Festival 2026

Following their involvement in last year’s event, the Maritime Volunteer Service will once again be supporting Maidstone River Festival in 2026.

The MVS will have a presence on the River Medway, providing water safety support throughout the event and helping to ensure that those taking part can enjoy the festival safely.

The Maritime Volunteer Service is a recognised national maritime training organisation and a UK registered charity. With more than 20 units across the country, they provide training to nationally and internationally recognised standards.

Their volunteers serve local communities, particularly during times of need or emergency. They also take part in resilience exercises and provide skilled support to local organisations and events, both ashore and afloat.

The MVS educates its members in a wide range of maritime, communication and practical skills. They promote the preservation of life and property within the maritime environment, support local communities and encourage interest in maritime affairs through training and volunteering.
