Located at Lockmeadow Leisure Complex, the market has a vibrant and lively shopping atmosphere, offering a variety of products at great value for money. It's a great place to get your weekly groceries, clothing, electrical equipment, plants, books, magazines, children's toys, pet accessories and seasonal gifts. Stallholders are extremely friendly and welcoming and are always willing to offer help and advice when needed. People from all over Kent have been coming to the county town market since 1548. Once a central meeting place for local produce and wares, the market has adapted itself over the years from being a cattle market to the buzzing place it is today.

Time of Our Lives exhibition
A display of film and photographic work produced by community groups in conjunction with artist Cathy Rogers, as part of a media based project that explores perceptions and issues of image and identity for both young and old people. This project was commissioned by Maidstone Borough Council as part of the West Kent Arts Partnership.

Seashells, Seashells exhibition
An exhibition exploring shells, fossils and natural history curiosities collected from all around the world by Robert Damon the eminent Victorian Geologist, collector and dealer in natural objects.
