Welcome To the River Festival 2011

Welcome to the Maidstone River Festival 2011. This year promises to be a great day out for families across kent as well as tourists from around the UK.

Last year's festival drew in more than 20,000 people to the county town of kent. Regular attractions such as the raft race and firework display will be returning.

The theme for the festival this year is 'At the Movies'.

Event Highlights

The Raft Race

The raft race will be returning this year. Held along a short stretch of the medway, a number of prizes are up for grabs including the winners of each race and best design raft.

Firework Display

There will be a firework display in the evening to act as the finale for the festival. The display will last over 10 minutes and will be set to music. Watch last year's firework display here.
