River Festival History
The festival has been running since 1980, this year's festival will mark the 32nd time the festival has been held. The festival is held in celebration of the River Medway and has been held on the last Saturday of July every year. Each time bringing thousands of people to the county town of Kent.
Each year the festival provides a major boost for the local economy, bringing not only local people but people visiting Kent from around the South East and the UK. It is estimated that the 2010 festival brought in over £500,000 in additional to the local economy, providing a major boost to local bars & restaurants. View pictures of last years festival here.
